Origins and Gameplay
29 traces its lineage to the European Jass family of games, brought to South Asia by Dutch traders. It's played by four players in fixed partnerships, using a 32-card deck. Each suit ranks from high to low: J-9-A-10-K-Q-8-7.
The goal is to be the first team to reach 6 points. Players bid and set targets, with the highest bidder determining the trump suit. Gameplay proceeds counter-clockwise, with players following suit or playing a trump if possible.

Winning tricks earns points based on card values:
- Jacks: 3 points
- Nines: 2 points
- Aces: 1 point
- Tens: 1 point
- Other cards (K, Q, 8, 7): 0 points
