The hunting sub-genre of shooters may be niche, but it certainly caters to a specific audience passionate about the thrill of the hunt, especially in the Americas. If you're among those intrigued by this unique gaming experience, you might want to keep an eye on the upcoming mobile release, Way of the Hunter: Wild America. This title, brought to iOS and Android by Handy Games, is an extension of THQ Nordic's recent hunting simulator that's already made waves on PC and consoles.

In Way of the Hunter: Wild America, players will immerse themselves in the vast wilderness of the Pacific Northwest, armed with an arsenal of authentic hunting tools, from rifles to bows. The game offers a sprawling 55 square miles of terrain for you to explore and master as you track down various species of wildlife, each exhibiting realistically simulated behaviors. A new feature, Hunter Sense, adds an additional layer of strategy to your hunting expeditions.

Scouting for bucksThe mobile version of Way of the Hunter could particularly appeal to those who enjoy hunting but might not have access to a console or PC. With smartphones and tablets being ubiquitous, this game could be the perfect way for dads and uncles who regularly go hunting to experience the sport in a new, convenient format.

While the hunting genre might not attract a broad audience, THQ Nordic has worked to refine the experience, smoothing out the more tedious elements. The hope is that this mobile port will successfully reflect these improvements, making it a more engaging and accessible title for both seasoned hunters and curious newcomers.
