GTA 6 Expected to Make $1.3 Billion On Its First Day

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5's Ned Luke, the voice of Michael De Santa, assures fans that the wait for GTA 6 will be worthwhile, even predicting a staggering first-day revenue. Read on to discover his expectations and insights into GTA 6's development.

Rockstar Games: Unexpected Moves for GTA 6

GTA 6 Projected to Earn $1.3 Billion on Day One

GTA 6 Expected to Make $1.3 Billion On Its First Day

Ned Luke boldly predicts GTA 6 will generate $1.3 billion in its first 24 hours. In a recent interview with Fall Damage, he expressed his confidence in the game's success, highlighting Rockstar Games' knack for the unexpected. He emphasizes patience, assuring fans the game will be "amazing." Recalling GTA 5's impressive $800 million debut in 2013, he anticipates GTA 6 will significantly surpass those figures. This prediction aligns with DFC Intelligence's projection of over 40 million sales and $3.2 billion in revenue during the first year, including a billion from pre-orders alone.

Luke also offered insights into the potential return of GTA 5 characters. While Michael has been absent from GTA Online since its launch, Trevor and Franklin have made appearances. Luke hints at Michael's possible inclusion in a final GTA Online DLC or even a role in GTA 6. Steven Ogg (Trevor) previously suggested a "passing the torch" scenario where Trevor meets his end early in GTA 6. Luke remains coy, stating, "Maybe [Michael, Franklin, and Trevor will be] in GTA 6, like [its online mode]. Maybe. Maybe not. You know Rockstar is not going to tell you anything. And if we say anything, you know they will not be very happy." While both actors express enthusiasm, official confirmation remains elusive.

GTA 6: In the Testing Phase?

Former Rockstar animator, Mike York, suggests GTA 6 is undergoing internal testing. In a since-deleted interview with Kiwi Talkz, York highlighted the game's unique unpredictability, emphasizing the unforeseen possibilities arising from extensive testing. He believes the game is likely playable and extensively tested internally, with final touches and additions still being implemented.

Rockstar Games unveiled GTA 6 with a trailer in December 2023, remaining tight-lipped since then. Initial reports suggested a Fall 2025 release, based on Take-Two Interactive's 2024 financial report. However, an official release date remains unconfirmed.
