Burglars Return to The Sims 4

Ten years of tranquil Sims life comes to an end as burglars return to the virtual world! The Sims 4 developers recently announced a highly anticipated (though perhaps not universally welcomed) update in their latest blog post.

Just like in previous games, installing a security system acts as a deterrent. When triggered, the police will swiftly arrive to apprehend the culprit. Sims with handyman skills can upgrade the system for improved reliability and automatic police alerts. Without an alarm, players can still call the police, hoping for a timely response, or attempt to befriend the burglar.

More imaginative solutions exist for those with expansion packs: unleashing dogs, spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves on the intruder, or even freezing them with a special ray.
