In Freedom Wars Remastered, reducing your million-year sentence is a constant goal, alongside increasing your CODE level to simplify the sinner's life. A higher CODE level unlocks more Entitlements, improving gameplay by enhancing abilities like sprinting duration or upgrading equipment and comrades for easier Abductor battles. This guide details the number of CODE levels and how to advance.
Freedom Wars Remastered features eight CODE levels. Progression is linear; you cannot decrease your CODE level. Each level grants access to new Entitlements and operations.
To check CODE upgrade requirements, consult your Accessory in your cell by selecting "Check CODE Upgrade Conditions." This usually involves reaching a specific year milestone in your sentence and unlocking certain Entitlements. Regularly check this menu to avoid wasting Entitlement Points on less crucial upgrades. Donating high-value resources and weapons provides substantial Entitlement Points.
While fulfilling the listed conditions is necessary for CODE rank-ups, your CODE level is intrinsically linked to the main storyline. Completing main story missions and operations, alongside meeting the upgrade conditions, is required to pass the CODE exam (a story element). Sometimes, main story progression substitutes for the CODE exam.
Operations are categorized by CODE level, indicating difficulty. Most operations are completed through story progression, although optional operations may become available to assist players who aren't fully prepared for the challenges of their new CODE level.
