Morpeko's Hangry Form Debuts in Pokémon GO for Halloween

Pokémon GO's Halloween event, Part 1, is almost here! Niantic has revealed the spooky details, and a Part 2 is on the way! Get ready for exciting features and chilling Pokémon encounters.

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

What's Haunting Pokémon GO?

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially exciting in Team GO Rocket battles and GO Battle League. Morpeko's Full Belly and Hangry Modes alter its Aura Wheel attack (Electric in Full Belly Mode, Dark in Hangry Mode), both boasting 100 power and an Attack boost.

During the event, Morpeko will appear more frequently in the GO Battle League's premium track, and afterward, at Rank 16 and above (though more common in the premium track).

A Spooky Celebration!

Pokémon GO will be decked out in Halloween decorations! Plus, a remix of the iconic Lavender Town theme music will play nightly during the event.

Dynamax Gastly is joining one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event, focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits, runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Completion rewards include encounters with Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
