Neil Druckmann Says 'Don't Bet on' There Being a The Last of Us Part 3

For those eagerly awaiting news of The Last of Us Part 3, renowned series creator Neil Druckmann has delivered a disheartening update. In a recent interview with Variety, primarily focused on the The Last of Us TV series, Druckmann effectively dashed hopes for a third installment. When questioned about the possibility, he sighed and stated, “I was waiting for this question… I guess the only thing I would say is don’t bet on there being more of ‘Last of Us.’ This could be it.”

While Druckmann's words carry significant weight, it's impossible to definitively interpret his intentions. Naughty Dog is currently engrossed in the development of Intergalactic, a title announced at The Game Awards 2022, with no release date currently set. This suggests the studio's resources are fully committed elsewhere for the foreseeable future.
