Announced in June 2020, skate. is finally open for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While a PC beta date remains unconfirmed, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.
According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September. However, developer Full Circle encourages continued registration as development actively progresses.
To participate, visit EA's website and register on the skate. page for Skate Insider Playtesting. Early access testers (Insiders) will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.
skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, launching on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it will be a free-to-play, live-service game aiming for an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as stated by Full Circle in a previous YouTube interview.
