Take-Two has revealed the sales of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2

Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5), a game released over a decade ago in September 2013, continues to dominate sales charts, boasting 5 million copies sold in the last three months alone. Its enduring popularity solidifies its place as one of history's best-selling games.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), released in October 2018, also shows impressive staying power, with sales reaching 70 million copies—a 3 million increase in the past quarter.

A key factor in GTA 5's continued success is GTA Online, its ever-evolving multiplayer mode. Take-Two Interactive's commitment to regular updates, such as December 2024's "Agents of Sabotage," keeps players engaged and returning.

Looking ahead, Take-Two has confirmed a Fall 2025 release for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. Further bolstering their upcoming lineup are Mafia: The Old Country, slated for Summer 2025 release, and Borderlands 4, expected later in the year.

While concerns about potential delays for Grand Theft Auto VI are understandable, Take-Two's recent financial presentation reaffirmed its planned Autumn 2025 launch. Similarly, Borderlands 4's release in 2025 has been confirmed, though specific dates remain unannounced.

Despite the fall release announcement for GTA VI, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick acknowledged Rockstar Games' meticulous development process, suggesting potential for further adjustments to the timeline, mirroring the development cycles of previous titles like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
