How and Where to Find All Templar Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows (Spoilers)

After hearing rumors of past enemies active in Japan, Yasuke’s Past quests require completing the Templar Hunt Objective Board. This guide details locating each Templar target in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, starting with Kimura Kei.

Finding Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Your first clue about Kimura Kei’s whereabouts comes from a ronin in Kii. Find him at the Takahara Village inn in central Nakahechi Route (use Scouts if needed; the building is marked with green flags near a cherry blossom tree). Speak to the Oda Clan ronin inside for your next lead: Kumabe Ujiie.

Locating Kumabe Ujiie

Kumabe Ujiie is in northern Kii, at a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of Kongobuji Temple. He’s with ronin escorts; avoid confrontation. Choose “I seek guidance” when you speak to him. He’ll then reveal Kimura Kei’s location.

Assassinating Kimura Kei

Kimura Kei’s training grounds are southwest Kii, north of the shore, midway between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Follow his students to find him. He’ll recognize Yasuke, triggering a fight.

Expect numerous ronin attacks. Use your best armor and weapons. Exploding red barrels along the path can help eliminate groups of enemies. This is a multi-phase boss fight; Kimura Kei cannot be stealth assassinated. Equip armor that parries unblockable attacks.

Phase 1: Kimura Kei uses a standard katana. Parry his attacks for openings, using posture attacks and abilities to damage his armor.

Phase 2: Once his armor is low, he switches to a long katana and standard katana, using more unblockables. Focus on dodging and striking between attacks.

Phase 3: The fight moves outside; he uses devastating unblockable attacks with both katanas. Dodge frequently, maintain distance, and utilize your bow or teppo.

Kimura Kei Rewards

Defeating Kimura Kei grants 3,000 XP, mon, the Templar-themed Destroyer Samurai Armor (reduces impact damage), and Helmet (10% damage boost per 10% missing health).

Finding the Silver Queen

After defeating the Shinbakufu, the Silver Queen appears on the Templar Board, aiding Portuguese pillaging in Tamba. You'll need to speak with contacts before confronting her.

Locating the Spy

Find the spy in southeast Tamba's Silver Lands, sitting under a structure near a cart and crates. He'll reveal the Silver Queen's location.

Confronting the Silver Queen

The Silver Queen is in Tada, northeast of Tada Kakurega, speaking with Portuguese soldiers. Talk to her, follow her home, and you'll wake up drugged in Tada Silver Mine.

Escaping Tada Silver Mine

Break out of your locked room. Stealth is recommended to escape the mine, killing guards as necessary.

Locating Akechi Mitsuyoshi

The Silver Queen wants Yasuke to rescue her brother in exchange for information. Head north to Kameyama Castle after escaping the mine (resupply at the Kakurega near Senneji Temple if needed). Use Pathfinder, and kill guards as you proceed to the living quarters. A dying servant will give you a key to the Tenshu.

Freeing Akechi Mitsuyoshi

Use the key to enter the Tenshu and free Akechi Mitsuyoshi. Protect him as he escapes, using your ranged weapons. Retrieve his katana from Baltazar after killing surrounding soldiers. Use abilities and posture attacks to defeat Baltazar. Head to Atago Shrine, then follow Akechi Mitsuyoshi to receive your next target's location.

Finding and Assassinating Nuno Caro

Nuno Caro is in western Tamba at Takeda Castle, atop a mountain. Use Pathfinder. The castle is heavily guarded; disable alarm bells with ranged weapons. Stealth is difficult; fight your way to Nuno Caro at the top of the castle. He uses a sword and pistol; parry his sword attacks and dodge his pistol shots. Use abilities to exploit his vulnerabilities.
