World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: A Guide to Finding Alyx and the Celebration Crates

World of Warcraft players can still earn the coveted Detective title and unlock the quest for the Incognitro Felcycle mount, even after the 20th-anniversary event concluded. The key? Alyx, the pivotal NPC, has relocated!

Alyx, previously stationed at the anniversary event grounds, has been moved to Dornogal. Specifically, they're located in the hot springs area northwest of the Delver's Headquarters, near the Foundation Hall. Alyx now holds the title of "Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things," and their invaluable clue board remains intact.

This board provides hints leading to 11 missing Celebration Crates scattered throughout the World of Warcraft. Collecting these crates is the pathway to the Detective title.

Obtaining the Detective Title:

1. Locate Alyx: Find Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, in Dornogal. Their location is between the Delver's Headquarters and the stairs to Foundation Hall.
2. Gather the Crates: Use the clues on Alyx's board to find the 11 Celebration Crates. (Note: Players must be level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests, but level 68 is required to access Dornogal.)
3. Claim Your Rewards: Return six crates for the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, and all 11 for "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective," and, most importantly, the Detective title. This title unlocks the questline leading to the Incognitro mount.

Post-Anniversary Accessibility:

While the main Guest Relations questline is unavailable, Blizzard's decision to relocate Alyx ensures continued access to the Detective title and the Incognitro mount quest. This prevents players from being permanently locked out of obtaining this rare mount. Unfortunately, achievements tied to the now-removed event quests, such as "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager" and "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats," are no longer obtainable. The future availability of their associated rewards remains uncertain.
