"Lanterns" promises to be a gripping detective drama, drawing inspiration from acclaimed series like "True Detective" and "Slow Horses." The show will see Chandler's Hal Jordan teaming up with Pierre's John Stewart to unravel a murder mystery that spirals into an even more ominous enigma. This series is firmly embedded within James Gunn's expansive DC universe, alongside projects like "Creature Commando" and the much-anticipated "Superman" and "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" films.

Developed by the creative minds of Damon Lindelof, known for his work on "Lost," alongside Chris Mundy and Tom King, "Lanterns" is set to adopt a darker, more grounded tone. James Gunn himself describes the series as "very grounded, very believable, very real," promising an unexpected take on the Green Lanterns mythos.
