Popular Classic Card Game: Seven Bridges
Overview:
Seven Bridges is a captivating Japanese card game blending elements of Rummy and Mahjong. The objective is to swiftly deplete your hand by forming melds – sets of same-numbered cards (groups) or sequential cards of the same suit (sequences) – and laying them down. Players can also utilize other players' discarded cards to create melds (Pong or Chi) or add to existing melds by tagging them. Unlike Mahjong's complexity, Seven Bridges features only seven cards per hand and two meld types, making it incredibly accessible to beginners. Scoring involves calculating points from remaining hands at the end of a round. Strategic meld revealing reduces your point total, but exposes your melds to tagging by opponents. This creates a compelling balance between risk mitigation and strategic concealment. It's a classic, enjoyable card game perfect for families and friends of all ages.
