At the start, the floating cube is the same size as the square beneath it.

Got the idea? You need to tap the screen just as the cube passes over the square, aligning it perfectly within the square's boundaries. If you misalign the cube, any overhanging edge will break off and fall into the abyss. Avoid this at all costs! As you continue, the square's area will shrink, making it harder to react in time.
