How the Game Works

Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox covers essential algebraic concepts such as:

• Multiplication

Designed for children aged five and up, the game introduces them to the fundamentals of equation solving through a unique pedagogical approach based on discovery and experimentation. In a vibrant and playful environment, players manipulate cards to isolate the DragonBox on one side of the game board, gradually learning the operations needed to isolate X in an equation. As they progress, cards are replaced with numbers and variables, revealing the addition, division, and multiplication operators they've been mastering.

The game requires no supervision, though parents can help children apply their learned skills to solve equations on paper. It's an excellent opportunity for parents to play alongside their kids and refresh their own math skills.

Developed by former math teacher Jean-Baptiste Huynh, DragonBox has been recognized for its excellence in game-based learning and has been the subject of extensive research by the Center for Game Science at the University of Washington.
