Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: the third installment, officially titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025, as confirmed by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during CinemaCon. But that's not all—Now You See Me 4 is also in development, promising more thrilling heists and magical illusions.
Director Ruben Fleischer, who has already made a significant impact with films like Zombieland, Uncharted, and Venom, will helm both the third and fourth films. The franchise, which has grossed an impressive $700 million globally, continues to captivate audiences with its blend of action and magic.
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t will see the return of beloved stars Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson, reuniting them with Fleischer from their Zombieland days. They'll be joined by a new generation of illusionists, including Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, with Rosamund Pike also starring in the third film.
The original producer, Bobby Cohen, along with Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout, will produce the new installment, with Meredith Wieck overseeing the project for Lionsgate.
Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer's work, saying, “Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us.”
Fleischer himself expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going.”
Despite the excitement, IGN's reviews of the previous films were mixed. The first Now You See Me received a 6.3/10, with the review noting, “Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot.” The sequel, Now You See Me 2, scored a 6.2, with the review stating, "Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance."
With Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and Now You See Me 4 on the horizon, fans can look forward to more thrilling adventures and magical performances from this beloved franchise.
