Marvel Rivals Season 1: Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Changes Detailed
NetEase Games unveiled a developer update outlining significant changes arriving in Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces Dracula as the primary antagonist and welcomes the Fantastic Four to the roster. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debut immediately, with Human Torch and The Thing following six to seven weeks later.
The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Alongside the new characters and a new game mode, "Doom Match," three additional maps are also being introduced.
A separate Dev Vision video highlighted balance adjustments. Hela and Hawkeye, deemed overpowered in Season 0, will receive nerfs. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom are slated for buffs to enhance their effectiveness.
Further balance tweaks include improvements for Wolverine and Storm, encouraging more strategic use of these mutants. Cloak and Dagger will also receive enhancements to improve their team synergy. Adjustments to Jeff the Land Shark are planned to better align his early warning indicators with his ultimate's hitbox, though no major changes to the ultimate's power level have been announced.
While NetEase Games remained silent on alterations to the Seasonal Bonus feature, speculation abounds regarding changes to hero bonuses. Season 1 promises a wealth of new content, generating considerable anticipation among players.
