After a short delay, the acclaimed puzzle game Botany Manor will finally bloom on PlayStation consoles. Initially slated for a December 17th, 2024 release, the PS4 and PS5 versions have been pushed back to January 28th, 2025, to allow for further refinement.
Developed by Balloon Studios and published by Whitethorn Games, Botany Manor charmed players on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PC earlier this year with its enchanting blend of magical plant cultivation and relaxing puzzle gameplay. The PlayStation port, announced previously, experienced a brief delay, but the new release date ensures players will enjoy the polished experience the developers intended.
While the January 28th launch date is confirmed, a PlayStation Store page is yet to appear, meaning pre-orders aren't currently available. However, expect the game to be priced at $24.99, consistent with its other platform releases. Unlike the Steam version, which offers a separate digital soundtrack, this add-on is unlikely to be included in the PlayStation release.
A Welcome Addition to PlayStation's Puzzle Lineup
Botany Manor earned widespread critical praise upon its initial release, boasting a strong "Strong" rating on OpenCritic (83/100 average score, 92% recommendation rate). Its cozy atmosphere, ingenious puzzles, and rewarding exploration have solidified its reputation as a top-tier puzzle game of 2024. Its arrival on PlayStation will undoubtedly enrich the platform's growing collection of high-quality puzzle titles.
With the PlayStation launch, Botany Manor will be available on all its originally planned platforms. Balloon Studios hasn't yet announced their next project, but the success of Botany Manor sets a strong foundation for their future endeavors. January 28th will be a busy day on the PlayStation Store, with Botany Manor joining other notable releases like Cuisineer, Eternal Strands, and The Sone of Madness.
