Fans of the beloved Dungeons & Dragons series, Critical Role, are in for an epic conclusion as Campaign 3, featuring the talented voice actors Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, and others, comes to an end. The finale, set to be an impressive eight-and-a-half-hour stream, will air on February 6 at 7pm Pacific / 10pm Eastern, or February 7 at 3am for UK viewers. You can catch this monumental episode on Critical Role's YouTube, Twitch channels, and through their membership service, Beacon.
This finale will wrap up the adventures of the Bells Hells party, which kicked off back in October 2021. While there are no confirmed spin-offs or direct follow-ups for their story yet, Critical Role assures fans that more tales from the rich world of Exandria will continue to unfold.
"This finale for Campaign 3 marks the end of one very epic chapter of Exandrian history," said Marisha Ray, creative director and cast member. "But while we celebrate the end of this chapter, I think it’s important to know that the story continues with a simple turn of the page. I’m very excited to see what happens next in this story that remains to be written by the incredible emergent storytellers who are picking up the pen."
The conclusion of Campaign 3 won't slow down Critical Role's momentum. Just a week later, on February 14, a new spin-off series, Exandria Unlimited, will launch its first of four episodes. Fans can also look forward to a variety of other shows and streams in the pipeline.
As for the next major campaign, details about the start of Campaign 4 remain under wraps. Historically, there's been a few months' gap between campaigns, with the first Vox Machina series ending in October 2017 and the Mighty Nein series beginning in January 2018. Campaign 3 started in October 2021 after the Mighty Nein concluded in June of the same year.
Given this pattern, it shouldn't be long before Critical Role unveils the start of a new chapter. An announcement could potentially coincide with their 10-year anniversary on March 12, making it an ideal date for such news, if not the actual commencement of the series.
