Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Update 1

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to roll out its inaugural Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests designed to spark competition through fast clear times. In anticipation, Capcom has issued a clear directive to its player base about the consequences of cheating.

In a recent post on the Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom issued a stern warning: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts found in violation of this policy may face suspension or have restrictions imposed, including the inability to receive rewards from these quests."

PlayCapcom emphasized that not only is cheating prohibited, but players joining multiplayer hunts with cheaters could also see their quest completion times invalidated, and their "right to rewards" revoked for the entire party.

"Please exercise caution and avoid playing multiplayer with individuals engaging in prohibited activities, or those you suspect of doing so," Capcom advised. The company urged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.

These competitive quests will offer attractive rewards in the form of cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This explains Capcom's stringent measures against cheating, as it directly impacts the integrity of rewards and completion times.
