Looking back on the past year just got easier, thanks to Snapchat's new 2024 Snap Recap feature. This fun, year-end summary joins other popular year-in-review features like Spotify Wrapped and Twitch Recap.

What is Snap Recap?

Unlike other recap features that focus on detailed statistics, Snap Recap offers a more casual, visual journey through your 2024 Snapchat memories. It selects a single Snap from each month, creating a montage of your year. The recap seamlessly transitions into your other Snapchat Memories, allowing you to explore further flashbacks from previous years.

How to Access Your 2024 Snap Recap

Your personalized Snap Recap is automatically generated and easy to find. Simply swipe up from the main camera screen to access Memories (avoid pressing the shutter button). The 2024 Snap Recap will appear prominently as a highlighted video.

Tap the video (avoiding the share icon) to begin your recap. The slideshow plays automatically, but you can tap the screen to advance through the selected Snaps. You can save, edit, share, or even add your recap to your Story. Like other Snaps, it remains private unless you choose to share it.

Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?

If your 2024 Snap Recap isn't yet available, don't worry. Snapchat Support confirms a staggered rollout. The feature's availability depends on several factors, including the number of saved Snaps. Infrequent Snapchat usage might also prevent a recap from being generated. Unfortunately, requesting a recap isn't currently possible.
