Unexpected news for Goat Simulator fans: a card game is on the way! Prepare for chaotic goat-fueled battles in this upcoming release, slated for a late 2024 launch.
Coffee Stain North, the creative minds behind the original Goat Simulator, are collaborating with MOOD Publishing (creators of Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game) to bring this card game to life.
What We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game
Details are scarce, but we know it's a physical card game launching on Kickstarter later this year. Supporting 2-6 players, it promises the same brand of absurd fun found in the video game series, now in a card-based format. Expect plenty of goat-driven mayhem!
Creative Director Santiago Ferrero of Coffee Stain North humorously commented, "Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table.”
From April Fool's Joke to a Genre?
The Goat Simulator franchise, born as an April Fool's joke in 2014, has defied expectations. Its popularity has spanned numerous platforms, including PCs, consoles, and mobile devices. With Goat Simulator 3 continuing the legacy, the addition of a card game is a surprising but welcome expansion to the series.
In the meantime, you can find the Goat Simulator games on the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for our next article covering the Solo Leveling: Arise update.
