Discover the Most Formidable Lasher Decks That Dominate Marvel Snap

Unlocking Lasher in Marvel Snap: A Powerful Symbiote Worth the Grind?

The Marvel Rivals season in Marvel Snap is winding down, but a free reward awaits those willing to tackle the returning High Voltage game mode: Lasher, a symbiote from October's We Are Venom season. But is this new addition worth the effort?

Lasher's Abilities and Potential

Lasher is a 2-power, 2-cost card with a potent ability: Activate: Afflict an enemy card here with negative Power equal to this card’s Power.

Essentially, Lasher inflicts -2 power on an opponent's card unless boosted. Given Marvel Snap's numerous buff options, Lasher offers more strategic depth than other free cards like Agony and King Etri. Cards like Namora can significantly enhance Lasher's power, potentially turning him into a game-changer with a -7 or even a -12 power affliction when combined with Wong or Odin. His synergy with the season pass card, Galacta, is particularly noteworthy.

Strategic Considerations

Remember, Lasher's an Activate card, meaning playing him by turn 5 is crucial to maximize his impact.

Optimal Lasher Deck Strategies

While Lasher's meta position is still developing, he excels in buff-heavy decks. Here are two examples:

Deck 1: Silver Surfer Focus

This deck utilizes the Silver Surfer archetype, incorporating Lasher as a third target for Forge, ideally saved for Brood or Sebastian Shaw. After playing Galacta on turn 4, Lasher becomes a valuable asset, effectively acting as a 10-power card (a 5-power card inflicting -5 power) without additional energy expenditure on the final turn. This deck includes:

Nova, Forge, Lasher, Okoye, Brood, Silver Surfer, Killmonger, Nakia, Red Guardian, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, Galacta. (Note: Series 5 cards like Red Guardian and Galacta can be substituted.)

Deck 2: High-Cost Buff Synergy

This deck is significantly more expensive, relying heavily on Series 5 cards like Scarlet Spider, Galacta, Gwenpool, Symbiote Spider-Man, and Namora. The strategy centers on using Galacta, Gwenpool, and Namora to boost cards like Lasher and Scarlet Spider, then activating their abilities to spread power across the board. Supporting cards like Zabu and Psylocke help deploy high-cost cards early, while Jeff and Hulk Buster provide backup. This deck includes:

Agony, Zabu, Lasher, Psylocke, Hulk Buster, Jeff, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Spider, Galacta, Gwenpool, Symbiote Spider-Man, Namora. (Jeff can be replaced with Nightcrawler.)

Is the High Voltage Grind Worth It?

Considering Marvel Snap's increasing cost, acquiring Lasher through High Voltage is worthwhile if you have the time. The mode offers various rewards, making the grind itself rewarding. While not a guaranteed meta staple, Lasher’s potential, similar to Agony, makes him a valuable addition to several meta-relevant decks.
