Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a significant hurdle in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines several methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's quests and storyline advancements.
The remnants of the destroyed bridge lie northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice's locations. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken pathways. Crossing requires strategic use of:
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the gaps.
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but may be limited by party composition.
Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are needed. One companion uses translocation to cross, then the others teleport to their location using the pyramids.
Fast Travel: Once a companion reaches the island and discovers the waypoint, the rest can fast travel.
Northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is a trap; only undead (like Fane) survive. Fane can take the ferry, discover the waypoint, and allow the rest of the party to fast travel.
If Fane isn't in your party, you can still use the ferry with two Teleporter Pyramids:
Recommendation: Unless you specifically want to utilize the ferry for a challenge or roleplaying reason, using the spirit bridge is generally the fastest and most reliable method for reaching Bloodmoon Island.
Caution: Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared. He retaliates with a potentially lethal Deathfog spell. A quick save is recommended before engaging. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
