Celebrating Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary, Capcom's iconic action-RPG franchise has teamed up with Digimon to release the "Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition" V-Pet. This special edition features designs based on the beloved Rathalos and Zinogre monsters.
Monster Hunter and Digimon: A 20th Anniversary Collaboration
The Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition is now available for pre-order in Japan, priced at 7,700 Yen (approximately $53.2 USD) before additional fees. Each device boasts a vibrant color LCD screen, advanced UV printing, and a convenient rechargeable battery. Familiar features include customizable backgrounds and the "Cold Mode" mechanic, which temporarily halts monster growth, hunger, and strength increases. A backup system ensures your progress and monsters are safely saved.
Japanese Release and Global Availability Uncertain
Currently, pre-orders are exclusively through Bandai's Japanese online store. International shipping will incur extra charges. Importantly, there's no confirmed global release date at this time. High demand has already resulted in a sell-out shortly after the announcement, with the first pre-order window closing at 11:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET) today. Follow the official Digimon Web Twitter (X) account for updates on future pre-order opportunities. The anticipated release date is April 2025.
