Efficiently Farming Sharp Fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds
Sharp Fangs are a valuable crafting resource in Monster Hunter Wilds, useful for creating early-game gear like Chatacabra and Talioth armor. This guide details how to locate and farm them effectively.
Early in the game, explore the Windward Plains. Optional quests like "Beware the Chatacabra" or "The Desert is Demanding" provide access and a generous 50-minute timer. Consider boosting your hunting efficiency with a pre-hunt meal.
Focus on Area 8 of the Windward Plains, its largest area, teeming with smaller monsters. While several creatures can drop Sharp Fangs, Gaijos are your primary target.
Gaijos, crocodile-like leviathans, are typically found near or in riverbeds. Their location is easily identified on the map by scanning for purple diamond markers near water sources. They are relatively weak and offer a guaranteed Sharp Fang upon carving after defeat.
Windward Plains usually spawns four to five Gaijos. Repeat the quest to efficiently farm more Sharp Fangs as needed.
Talioths, bipedal creatures found in packs in Area 8 (and sometimes Area 13), also have a chance to drop Sharp Fangs. While not guaranteed, hunting them offers a secondary farming opportunity, conveniently progressing the "The Desert is Demanding" quest (requiring 8 Talioth kills).
This strategy maximizes your Sharp Fang yield in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more game guides, check out our guide on mastering the Great Sword.
