Square Enix has reinstated its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign, running until February 6th, 2025, allows eligible players four consecutive days of free gameplay across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
The campaign's timing coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, which introduced new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the continuation of the Hildibrand storyline and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's recent New Year's message further fueled excitement, confirming the upcoming release of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller content updates. Yoshida also teased future story developments in Dawntrail, sparking much speculation among the player base.
This free access period provides an excellent opportunity for lapsed players to rejoin the game and catch up on the Dawntrail storyline before the arrival of Patch 7.2. The 96-hour free play period begins upon login via the game launcher.
Eligibility Requirements:
Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station. The campaign runs from January 9th, 3:00 AM EST, to February 6th, 9:59 AM EST. Concurrent with the Free Login Campaign, players can participate in the Heavensturn event (ending January 16th) and anticipate the release of Patch 7.16 on January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series.
