A prominent Fortnite leaker has hinted that Mechagodzilla could make its debut alongside Godzilla on January 17. Fortnite is currently navigating through Chapter 6 Season 1, which has brought numerous updates to the game. Epic Games has revamped the locker system and recently modified the quest UI with the introduction of Godzilla's challenges.
Since the launch of Chapter 6 Season 1, Fortnite has been a hub for exciting collaborations. Over the years, the battle royale has introduced crossovers with Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars, DC Comics, and even Mariah Carey during its 14-day Winterfest event. The current battle pass features two major collaborations: Baymax from Big Hero 6 and Godzilla.
In a recent Twitter post, renowned Fortnite leaker Hypex suggested that Mechagodzilla might soon appear in the game's Item Shop. Similar to Godzilla, Mechagodzilla will be modeled after the MonsterVerse version. Rumors indicate that this mechanical monster might be available for 1,800 V-Bucks alone or as part of a larger bundle. Mechagodzilla is expected to serve as a cosmetic option for players to purchase. In contrast, Godzilla will not only be a cosmetic item but also a full boss on the map, complete with a medallion that players can claim during matches.
Leakers have also shared that King Kong will join Godzilla and Mechagodzilla in Fortnite, though it's unclear if he will appear on the map during Chapter 6 Season 1. While many fans are eager to see these titans clash across the map, Epic Games has yet to confirm such an event. It's predicted that King Kong will be available in the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks, possibly as part of a larger bundle that may include accessories or even Mechagodzilla.
The Fortnite community is buzzing with excitement over the addition of these iconic monsters. However, many fans are also eagerly anticipating the rumored crossover with Demon Slayer, which would bring characters from the popular anime into the game. Fortnite has a history of successful anime collaborations, including Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and My Hero Academia. With the influx of new content, players are thrilled to see what Epic Games has in store for the future.
