Fortnite Hunters (Chapter 6 Season 1) brings back the popular Kinetic Blade from Chapter 4 Season 2. This isn't the only katana option though; players can also choose the Typhoon Blade, a newer addition. This guide covers locating and using the Kinetic Blade, helping you decide if it's a superior choice to the Typhoon Blade.
The Kinetic Blade appears in both Battle Royale Build and Zero Build modes. Find it as floor loot or inside standard and Rare chests.
Currently, the Kinetic Blade's drop rate seems quite low. The absence of dedicated Kinetic Blade stands (only Typhoon Blade stands exist) further reduces its in-game availability.
The Kinetic Blade is a melee weapon enabling swift movement and surprise attacks.
Unlike the Typhoon Blade's sprint mechanic, the Kinetic Blade utilizes a Dash Attack for rapid forward movement. This attack inflicts 60 damage on impact and can be chained up to three times before requiring a recharge.
Alternatively, the Knockback Slash deals 35 damage and pushes opponents backward. This can lead to fall damage and potential eliminations if the opponent is knocked off a high point.
