GOG Resurrects Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 on PC

GOG resurrects the cult classic survival horror games, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, bringing them to PC as DRM-free releases. Both titles, originally released on PlayStation, are now available via GOG's Preservation Program, ensuring the original content remains untouched.

Capcom's Dino Crisis 3, an Xbox exclusive, remains the last entry in the series, despite fan calls for a reboot or HD remake. The release of Exoprimal, a dinosaur-themed multiplayer action game, and comments from series creator Shinji Mikami seemingly dashed hopes for a Dino Crisis revival.

These PC ports, previously difficult to run on modern systems, are now fully compatible with Windows 10 and 11 thanks to GOG's enhancements. GOG highlights the improved experience, stating that Regina's famous line, "You're extinct!", no longer applies to the games themselves.

Dino Crisis (GOG Version): Key Improvements

Dino Crisis 2 (GOG Version): Key Improvements

  • Inclusion of Easy difficulty, Dino Colosseum, and Dino Duel modes.

GOG also launched its Dreamlist, a community voting tool allowing users to suggest games for potential revival or addition to the platform. This initiative aims to gauge community interest and facilitate the release of more classic titles.
