Google Play Store may soon introduce a handy new feature: automatic app launching. Tired of downloading apps and then forgetting to open them? This could be the answer.
The Details
Android Authority reports Google is developing a feature that auto-opens apps immediately after download. No more searching for icons! This potential feature, tentatively named "App Auto Open," would appear as a notification for about five seconds after a successful download. Your phone may also vibrate or make a sound, ensuring you don't miss it.
Important Note: This is based on an APK teardown, not an official announcement. There's no confirmed release date, and the feature's availability remains uncertain. However, if released, it will be entirely optional, allowing users to enable or disable auto-launching as desired.
How it Might Work:
A brief notification will appear at the top of your screen when a download completes. This notification will be visible for approximately five seconds, with additional alerts (vibration or sound) based on your phone’s settings.
