Gotham Knights: A Potential Nintendo Switch 2 Release?
Recent speculation suggests that Gotham Knights could be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2. This intriguing possibility stems from a game developer's resume, sparking excitement among gamers.
On January 5th, 2025, YouTuber Doctre81 highlighted a developer's resume listing work on Gotham Knights for two yet-to-be-released platforms. The developer, formerly with QLOC (2018-2023), also listed projects like Mortal Kombat 11 and Tales of Vesperia. The inclusion of Gotham Knights for unreleased consoles fueled the speculation.
One platform might be the original Nintendo Switch, given a previous ESRB rating. However, the game's performance issues on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S cast doubt on this possibility. The second unreleased platform strongly hints at the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
It's crucial to remember that neither Warner Bros. Games nor Nintendo has officially confirmed this. However, with the Nintendo Switch 2 being the only highly anticipated unreleased console, the possibility remains compelling.
Past Hints and the ESRB Rating:
Initially released in October 2022 for PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X, Gotham Knights received an ESRB rating for the original Nintendo Switch, fueling speculation about a release. This rating, however, has since been removed from the ESRB website. While a Switch release never materialized, this past ESRB listing, coupled with the recent YouTube report, adds weight to the Switch 2 speculation.
