Get Ready for Monster Hunter Wilds' Second Open Beta!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Don't despair! A second chance to hunt is coming in February, bringing with it new content and features. Here's how to join the action.
The second Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test is confirmed for the first two weeks of February, offering players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, you'll face a new challenge: the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles.
Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, but progress won't be saved. As a reward for participating, beta testers will receive a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack for the full game launch.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating, "We’ve heard from many of you that you missed the chance to take part in the first beta, or that you wanted to play again, which is why we decided to have a second one." While recent community updates detailed upcoming improvements, these refinements won't be included in the second beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Prepare for the hunt!
