Infinity Nikki's Phenomenal Debut: $16 Million in First-Month Revenue
Infinity Nikki, the latest installment in the popular Nikki series, has shattered expectations, generating nearly $16 million in mobile game revenue within its first month. This surpasses previous Nikki titles by a staggering 40 times, highlighting its immense popularity. Developed by Infold Games (Papergames in China), the game launched in December 2024 and quickly captivated players worldwide. The impressive revenue stems from robust in-app purchases of cosmetic items, outfits, and other game features.
The game's enchanting Miraland setting invites players to guide Nikki and her cat, Momo, on a whimsical adventure across diverse nations, each with unique cultures. While fashion is central, Nikki's outfits possess magical powers crucial for gameplay, utilizing the energy of Whimstars to solve puzzles and overcome challenges.
Pre-registration numbers reached an impressive 30 million, indicating strong anticipation before launch. AppMagic data (via Pocket Gamer) reveals a remarkable trajectory: $3.51 million in the first week, $4.26 million in the second, and $3.84 million in the third. While weekly revenue decreased to $1.66 million by the fifth week, the cumulative total still reached nearly $16 million. This success significantly outpaces both Love Nikki's ($383,000) and Shining Nikki's ($6.2 million) first-month earnings. It's important to note that these figures reflect mobile revenue only, excluding PC and PlayStation 5 sales.
China Fuels Infinity Nikki's Success
China played a pivotal role in Infinity Nikki's triumph, accounting for over 5 million downloads (more than 42% of the total) and significantly contributing to its financial success.
Post-launch, daily revenue peaked at over $1.1 million on December 6th, subsequently declining but remaining strong at $787,000 by December 18th. A dip occurred, reaching a low of $141,000 on December 26th. However, the Version 1.1 update on December 30th sparked a resurgence, boosting daily revenue to $665,000 – almost triple the previous day's earnings.
Infinity Nikki is currently available for free on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The developers are committed to sustaining the game's momentum through regular seasonal events (like the Fishing Day Event) and ongoing updates to enhance the player experience.
