Major update delay for Dead Cells, new release early 2023

Dead Cells Mobile's final free updates delayed, arriving February 18th, 2025

Developer Playdigious has announced a postponement for the last two free Dead Cells updates on mobile platforms. However, the good news is that "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near" now have a confirmed release date: February 18th, 2025.

These updates, already released on console and PC, introduce exciting new content:

Clean Cut:

• Two new weapons: Sewing Scissors (Survival-focused) and Giant Comb (Brutality-focused).
• A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allowing customization of your character's head appearance.
• Additional content.

The End is Near:

• New enemies: Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer.
• New skills and colorless mutations, including Demonic Strength (30% damage boost when cursed, plus 1% per curse stack).

Playdigious deserves commendation for consistently providing free content to Dead Cells players. While the end of these free updates was initially met with some disappointment, allowing the studio to focus on new projects is understandable.

Both updates will launch simultaneously on Android and iOS on February 18th, 2025.
