Marvel Snap introduces exciting Sanctum Showdown mode

Are you ready to challenge for the title of Sorcerer Supreme? Marvel Snap's new limited-time mode, Sanctum Showdown, is now live and set to run for the next two weeks, until March 11th. This exciting event introduces a fresh way to compete with unique snapping mechanics and a different win condition, making every match a thrilling experience.

In Sanctum Showdown, the race is on to reach 16 points before your opponent. Unlike the standard gameplay, victory isn’t determined at turn six but by who can secure the most points first. Central to this mode is the special Sanctum location, which awards the highest points each turn. Additionally, the snapping mechanic has been revamped: starting from turn three, you can snap once per turn to boost the Sanctum’s value by one point, keeping the game's momentum in constant flux.

Each match in Sanctum Showdown requires one Scroll to enter, but a win rewards you with another Scroll, allowing the action to continue. You begin with 12 Scrolls, and every eight hours, you'll receive two more. Should you run out, additional Scrolls can be purchased for 40 Gold. Regardless of the match outcome, your participation contributes to your Sorcerer Rank and earns you Charms, which you can spend in the Sanctum Shop on cosmetics or new cards.

Thinking of leveraging Captain Marvel or Dracula? Think again. To ensure fairness, certain cards and locations are banned in this mode, including those with abilities that affect final outcomes. If you're eyeing cards like Laufey, Gorgon, and Uncle Ben, Sanctum Showdown is your exclusive chance to acquire them before they're available in the Token Shop on March 13th. Through Portal Pulls, you have the opportunity to unlock these cards for free, along with up to four Series 4 or 5 cards.
