Microsoft Announces Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 Lineup

Microsoft unveils the exciting Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup! This announcement, preceding Microsoft's Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd, showcases a wave of day-one Game Pass titles, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed fourth game.

The second wave begins January 21st with the day-one release of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Master the snowy slopes solo or compete with up to eight players in cross-platform multiplayer.

January 22nd brings a flurry of additions: Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering cooperative multiplayer flight and creature collection. Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, delivering a 5v5 MOBA hero shooter experience. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), a Japanese-inspired action strategy game, also launches on Game Pass Standard, alongside Magical Delicacy (Console), Tchia (Xbox Series X|S), and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console). January 28th sees the day-one releases of Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) – a fantasy action-adventure from Yellow Brick Games – and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a third-person shooter and trap defense game, both on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on January 29th across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This emotional journey features stunning visuals and a compelling narrative.

A major addition on January 30th is the day-one release of Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, offering co-op sniping action in occupied France.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), the highly anticipated sequel, launches day-one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 31st.

Rounding out the wave, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on February 4th, setting players in a post-apocalyptic Hope County.
