In *Monster Hunter Wilds’* Forbidden Lands, seasons and weather are more than just visual flair; they're dynamic gameplay elements. The shifting landscapes impact everything from monster behavior to resource availability. Let's dive into the details of how seasons and weather affect your hunts.

Understanding *Monster Hunter Wilds'* Seasons

Monster Hunter Wilds Seasons

Monster Hunter Wilds features two primary seasons: Fallow and Plenty. The game begins in the harsh Fallow season, characterized by scarce resources, intense weather, and aggressive monsters frequently engaging in territorial battles. Survival is a constant challenge.

In contrast, the Plenty season offers a warmer, more abundant environment. Flora flourishes, monsters are less hostile, and resources are plentiful. This shift creates a more relaxed hunting experience, making it ideal for gathering and less intense hunts.

Between these seasons, brief but intense weather events known as Inclemency occur. These dramatic shifts set the stage for epic clashes with Apex Predators. For instance, the Sandtide, a powerful lightning-filled sandstorm, provides the backdrop for a challenging battle against the Alpha Doshaguma in the Pinnacle of the Pack Assignment. Expect more unique weather events during encounters with Apex Predators throughout your journey.

Checking Seasons and Weather

Monster Hunter Wilds Weather HUD

Monitoring the current season and weather is simple. The HUD's bottom-left corner displays icons indicating the time of day and season. For a more detailed overview, consult your map. Press the indicated button to access the Environment Overview, providing comprehensive information on the current conditions.

Optional Quests often feature specific times of day and seasons. When undertaking these quests, you'll be temporarily transported to the designated environment, regardless of the current season in the main game.

Changing Seasons and Weather

The impact of Fallow and Plenty seasons on the environment and monster behavior might make one more favorable than the other for specific hunting strategies. Fortunately, you can manipulate the in-game time and weather.

To change the season and weather, rest at your tent. Access the BBQ Menu, select "Rest," and adjust the Environment and Time settings before your hunter wakes up.

Keep in mind that resting costs 300 Guild Points and is only available to High-Rank Hunters. Resting is also unavailable during active quests.

That's a comprehensive overview of seasons and weather in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Mastering this system will significantly enhance your hunting experience.

*Monster Hunter Wilds is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.*
