Nintendo Japan announced a postponement of the Alarmo's general sale, originally scheduled for February 2025. The delay is attributed to current production and inventory limitations. While there's no word yet on whether this affects other regions (with a global launch planned for March 2025), Nintendo is implementing a temporary solution for Japanese customers.

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan will have exclusive access to a pre-order period starting mid-December, with shipments expected in early February 2025. The precise pre-order start date will be announced shortly.

Nintendo's Popular Alarm Clock

Launched in October, the Alarmo is an interactive alarm clock featuring iconic sounds from popular Nintendo franchises like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, and RingFit Adventure, with more to be added via future updates. Its initial release—both in physical Nintendo stores and online (via Nintendo Switch Online)—was met with overwhelming popularity. This led Nintendo to temporarily halt online orders, switching to a lottery system, and resulted in complete sell-outs in many locations, including all Japanese Nintendo stores and the New York Nintendo store.
