Path of Exile 2's bustling trade chat frequently features requests for White Stellar Amulets, often fetching 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs each. This high demand might puzzle some players. After all, anyone paying this much for an item either needs it for a specific build or plans to transform it into something even more valuable. Potential sellers naturally want to understand the item's worth. Let's break it down.

What Makes White Stellar Amulets Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

Normal rarity Stellar Amulets—those with only the inherent "+# to All Attributes"—can be transformed into the incredibly valuable Astramentis Stellar Amulet using an Orb of Chance.

Astramentis's immense power stems from its ability to significantly boost attributes (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes exceptionally well with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another highly sought-after Unique item, which enhances attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.

Crucially, only white Stellar Amulets can create Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets won't work. This scarcity is precisely why normal Stellar Amulets command such high prices compared to their upgraded counterparts.

Should You Sell White Stellar Amulets or Use the Orb of Chance?

The odds of successfully obtaining Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are extremely low. Even using 100 Stellar Amulets might not guarantee success. While luck could strike, it's a highly improbable outcome.

The choice to sell or gamble is entirely yours. Selling a White Stellar Amulet typically yields 10-30 Exalted Orbs, depending on market fluctuations. Alternatively, you can take a high-risk, high-reward gamble and hope for an Astramentis. It's a decision each player must make individually.

How to Use Orb of Chance To Get Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt this gamble, place the normal Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Possible outcomes include:

  • The amulet is destroyed.
  • The amulet is upgraded to a unique of the same base type. For Stellar Amulets, this means:
    1. Astramentis
    2. Fixation of Yix

Fixation of Yix is the more common (and less desirable) outcome if the gamble succeeds. Remember, failure results in the destruction of the Stellar Amulet.
