Pirate Yakuza Free DLC Drops "New Game+" Mode

The gaming world is back in full swing after the holiday break, and we have some exciting news! While the Nintendo Switch 2 remains highly anticipated, let's focus on another fan favorite: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage, offering a glimpse into the pirate-themed adventure set in Hawaii.

The showcased gameplay highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima, a returning character, will boast two distinct combat styles: a swift, agile approach and a more tactical style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to battles, exploration, and treasure hunts. The game promises hidden islands and original side quests to discover during gameplay.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's conclusion: the highly requested "New Game+" mode will be free for all players! While not available at launch, it will be added via a post-release patch. This decision marks a positive change from the previous game, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where "New Game+" was exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing criticism from SEGA. This is excellent news, and with the release date just a month and a half away, the wait won't be too long.
