Pokémon GO is celebrating its 8th anniversary with a spectacular event running from June 28th, 10:00 a.m. to July 3rd, 8:00 p.m.! Get ready for exciting new Pokémon debuts, boosted bonuses, and enhanced raid and trading opportunities.

Here's a glimpse of what awaits:

New Pokémon and Shiny Encounters: Party hat-wearing Grimer and Muk will appear, with a chance to find a Shiny Grimer. Meltan also makes a shiny return when using the Mystery Box.

Friendship and Trading Boosts: Become Lucky Friends more easily and snag Lucky Pokémon in trades. Friendship levels increase rapidly through gift opening, trading, and battling. You might even discover 8 or 88 Gimmighoul Coins when spinning PokéStops with a Golden Lure Module.

Bonus Extravaganza: Enjoy rotating bonuses: half Egg Hatch Distance (June 28th-29th), double XP for catching Pokémon (June 30th-July 1st), and double Stardust for catches (July 2nd-3rd).

Raids and Research: One-star raids feature festively attired Pokémon with increased Shiny chances. Event-themed Field Research tasks will reward encounters with Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, Mudkip, and others. Mega Energy for Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert will also be available.
