The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, titled Shining Revelry, has brought a dazzling array of over 110 new cards to the game, including shiny variants that have players buzzing with excitement. The expansion introduces cards from the Paldea region, adding a fresh twist to the mix. As a fan, I couldn't resist diving into the new content, spending my Pack Hourglasses on a 10-pack pull. My luck paid off with a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less thrilling. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady card was a silver lining, as her ability to heal Special Conditions can be a game-changer against pesky status effects like Burn.
Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event, allowing players to earn stylish new badges to show off to friends. But the real excitement comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches. Players can now compete against others, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank over the course of approximately one month. Points earned will be displayed, and at the end of the season, participants will receive an emblem, adding a competitive edge to the game. This has me motivated to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting some serious decks.
