Niantic has just unveiled the exciting Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, offering trainers in Chile and India a unique opportunity to influence their local gaming environment while reaping exclusive rewards. By participating in the review and approval of Wayspot nominations through the Niantic Wayfarer platform, players can contribute to the addition of new PokéStops and Gyms in Pokémon Go, and simultaneously work towards achieving special milestone rewards.

The Pokémon Go Wayfarer Challenge will be active from March 7th to 9th in Chile and from March 10th to 12th in India. During these dates, trainers have the chance to nominate real-world locations, including landmarks, sculptures, and street art, to be transformed into PokéStops and Gyms.

By reviewing these nominations, participants help reach community milestone goals. If the community manages to resolve 5,000 nominations, every participant will be rewarded with 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Should the community surpass this and achieve 10,000 approvals, the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

To join in, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have an account on the Niantic Wayfarer platform. If you're new to Wayfarer, you'll need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before you can start reviewing nominations.

ytEligibility for rewards requires that you have recently played in Chile or India, or have set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. Additionally, to qualify for the rewards, you must review at least 50 nominations, and at least one milestone must be achieved.

Running concurrently, the PokéStop Challenge event will take place from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. During this event, players can earn 3x XP for visiting new PokéStops for the first time, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and enjoy increased Kecleon spawns. Event Field Research will offer encounters with Eevee, while Timed Research provides opportunities to catch other Pokémon.
