Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for the launch of its exciting Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, and Niantic has shared all the juicy details. This season, set to begin on March 6th, 2025, promises new challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and the introduction of new monsters to the game.

Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5

Before Season 5 officially kicks off, players are in for a special treat with the early arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its grand debut ahead of its first-ever appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. As the season launches, players will encounter Glavenus and Arzuros joining the fray.

Weapon balance tweaks are also on the horizon, aimed at enhancing the viability and enjoyment of each weapon type. The Sword & Shield is set to receive a significant buff, making it easier to target breakable parts like tails. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward well-timed taps with improved performance, leading to more satisfying combos.

The Guard skill is not left behind, as it's getting a much-needed upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard had minimal impact, but now, higher skill levels will effectively reduce damage taken when blocking. More details on these tweaks will be available in the full patch notes on March 6th.

If you've ever struggled with an overflowing inventory, Monster Hunter Now Season 5 has good news for you. A new Item Box Expansion will be available as a Supply Item, granting an extra 250 slots to help manage your gear and resources.

As part of Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new feature will be introduced, allowing you to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for a variety of rewards. Expect to find Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards available for trade.
