New Pokémon in Pokémon Sleep: Catch Sneasel and Weavile!
Pokémon fans rejoice! New Pokémon have arrived in Pokémon Sleep. As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend – if you know where to look.
Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile
Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series games, you might expect Sneasel and Weavile to appear in snowy locations. In Pokémon Sleep, however, they're classified as Dark-type and appear in two locations:
If you're currently researching on a different island, use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch to either Snowdrop Tundra or Greengrass Isle.
Sleep Types and Evolution
Both Sneasel and Weavile share the Dozing sleep type. Increasing your chances of encountering them requires setting your in-game sleep type to Dozing. Sneasel is easier to find initially, evolving into Weavile using 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.
Are Sneasel and Weavile Good in Pokémon Sleep?
Sneasel's value lies primarily in its berry-gathering ability (Wiki Berries) and its contribution to "Extra Tasty" dishes. Its ingredient requirements include desirable items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable asset to your Snowdrop Tundra team.
