Saber Interactive assures fans that all previously announced games remain in development, despite the prolonged silence surrounding high-profile titles like the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake. Following the announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, Saber's Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, tweeted a reassurance: "Saber Interactive is one of the largest independent developers in the world. We are working on numerous games across many different genres. Everything that we have talked about is still in development. We will share information on upcoming games when we have something cool to share.”
The most prominent game affected by this statement is the elusive KOTOR remake. Announced in 2021, the project's development has been shrouded in mystery, marked by reported halts and restarts. However, in April 2024, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed the project's continued development following Saber's separation from Embracer Group, stating, "It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this… What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations." Willits' recent statement reinforces this, yet tangible updates remain absent beyond the initial announcement trailer.
Saber Interactive also has other projects underway, including several slated for release this year. While John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival are still planned for 2025, release dates remain unannounced. Additionally, a new Turok game and an untitled Avatar: The Last Airbender title are in development. The recently revealed Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 further expands their current development slate.
