Clone Hero streamer and content creator CarnyJared has achieved an astonishing feat by completing a full combo (FC) of DragonForce's iconic Guitar Hero 3 song, Through the Fire and Flames, at a staggering 200% speed. This remarkable accomplishment was captured and shared on February 27, marking the culmination of a nine-month journey dedicated to mastering this challenging track.
In the video's description, CarnyJared expressed his gratitude, stating, “IT. IS. OVER.” He highlighted the immense support from his community, acknowledging that their encouragement and dedication were instrumental in his success. “I am rightfully thankful for everybody that has supported me throughout this ridiculous grind. I have the best supporters on the entire platform of Twitch and YouTube,” he shared.
CarnyJared detailed the intensity of his practice, noting, “We all spent an unfathomable amount of time staring at the same 3,722 notes, figuring out any possible way to hit them more efficiently. Somehow it worked out, and somehow I am able to sit in front of this computer which you have all cumulatively provided to me, and make a living playing Clone Hero.”
The feat of FCing Through the Fire and Flames at 200% speed is nothing short of extraordinary. The song, which typically lasts over seven minutes at normal speed, was completed in just over three minutes by CarnyJared. His on-screen stats reveal the difficulty of the task, with nearly 2,000 FC runs past the first bridge, 662 past the second, and only 227 successful runs through the solo section. This 200% FC marks only the fourth time CarnyJared has successfully navigated the song's solo.
Reflecting on the achievement, CarnyJared said, “This is a moment that will live with me forever. I am blessed every single day to wake up and have food in the kitchen, and a place to sleep because of you amazing group of people.” He also extended his thanks to his family, who supported him throughout the entire process.
Describing the challenge as the “hardest thing” he’s ever done, CarnyJared's celebration following his successful run was well-deserved. For those eager to delve deeper into this incredible achievement, CarnyJared has promised a comprehensive “1 hour+” documentary to be released in the coming months.
