Neutronized, the studio behind this year's Shovel Pirate and other charming titles like Slime Labs 3, Super Cat Tales, and Yokai Dungeon: Monster Games, has released a new platformer: Shadow Trick. True to Neutronized's style, it's a short, sweet, and simple game with a retro 16-bit aesthetic – and it's free!
Shadow Trick Gameplay:
As the title suggests, you play as a wizard capable of transforming into a shadow to solve puzzles. This core mechanic involves shifting between your physical and shadow forms to bypass obstacles, evade enemies, and uncover hidden areas within a magical castle.
The game boasts 24 levels, each concealing three moon crystals. Collecting all 72 crystals unlocks the complete ending. Be warned: defeating the bosses without taking damage is crucial for this achievement, and some, like the mischievous red ghost, present a unique challenge.
Shadow Trick features diverse environments, including aquatic levels requiring shadow-form navigation and encounters with quirky boss characters.
