Farewell, SwitchArcade readers! This is the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up from me. After several years, I'm moving on to new adventures. But before I go, let's dive into one last chunky update!
Following the Fitness Boxing series' success (including the surprisingly enjoyable Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star), this Miku collaboration intrigued me. Having played it alongside Ring Fit Adventure, I'm impressed. This rhythm-boxing game offers daily workouts, mini-games, and Miku-themed modes. Note: Joy-Con only; no Pro Controller support. It includes difficulty options, free training, warm-ups, progress tracking, and unlockable cosmetics. The music is excellent, but the instructor's voice is a bit jarring and I ended up muting it. While a solid fitness game, it's best used to supplement, rather than replace, other exercise routines. -Mikhail Madnani
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. While the exploration is well-executed, inventory management and UI could use improvement. The pixel art and music are stunning, and the Switch version offers customizable UI scaling and text options. Some frame pacing issues were noted. It's a good game, but some quality-of-life updates would elevate it further. -Mikhail Madnani
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
A surprisingly polished sequel to the original. This release boasts an improved presentation compared to Ratalaika's usual emulation wrappers, including extras like box scans, achievements, and a gallery. It includes both the US and Japanese Super NES versions (but sadly, not the Genesis version). A solid platformer, and a testament to Ratalaika's improved emulation efforts.
SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5
More of an expansion than a sequel to the original Metro Quester, this prequel takes you to Osaka. It features a new dungeon, character types, and mechanics, expanding upon the turn-based combat and top-down exploration of its predecessor. Requires patience and strategic planning. A great addition for fans of the original, and a solid entry point for newcomers.
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
The latest NBA 2K installment, boasting improved gameplay, a new "Neighborhood" feature, and MyTEAM enhancements. Requires 53.3 GB of storage space.
A Darkest Dungeon-style game with a Japanese setting.
